Single bead front sight on a barrel marked with the two line address/1894-1896 patent dates marking followed by "16 Ga." at the breech. The barrel underside is marked "84855C" (serial number correctly does not match with the receiver number and "C" indicates cylinder choke). The serial number is stamped on the frame underside and the upper tang is unmarked. 17 groove round forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with factory buttplate. LOP: 13 3/4".

Excellent. The shotgun retains 90% original blue finish thinning to a gray with gray speckling on the receiver. There a few very scattered patches of minor pitting. The wood is excellent with most of the varnish remaining and a gouge on the forearm (right side), along with some minor handling marks.
