Description:

Manufactured in 1874 with the rare 1 1/2 inch barrel. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT", the 1871 patent date is marked in the sighting groove., and "41 CAL" is marked on the left side of the frame. Fitted with bird head grips with the left grip panel numbered to gun.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel and cylinder retain 20% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some minor pitting on the cylinder. The frame shows evidence of being cleaned at one time and now has an even aged brass patina with a polished appearance on the heavily battered side plate. The grips are good with most of the varnish remaining, high edge wear, and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
