Manufactured in 1876. The top of the barrel has the two line Hartford address flanked by Maltese crosses with the barrel sides featuring a dot and line factory engraving incorporating half a star burst motif near the muzzle. The cylinder and frame sides feature a scroll and punch dot engraving with a geometric engraving on the back strap. Left side of frame is marked "22 CAL". Matching numbers on frame and barrel with non-matching grips.

Fine. The barrel and cylinder retain scattered traces of original nickel finish with the balance a smooth dark gray patina. The frame retains 80% original nickel with the exposed brass having an attractive untouched aged patina. The grips are very good with much of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks. The engraving is crisp and clear. Mechanically fine.
