Colt Third Model or No. 3 Derringer with all blue barrel, silver plated brass frame and varnished walnut grips. The barrel has a half-moon front sight. The top of the barrel is marked "-COLT-" in large italicized letters with a pair of British proofs on the underside. "41 CAL" is stamped on the left side of the frame below the breech end of the barrel. The right side of the frame the small Rampant Colt and the initial C marking placed on pistols sold through the London agency followed by the London address ("14. PALL MALL"). Serial number is on the left side of the frame under the grip.

Very good. The barrel has a mottled gray patina and there is some mild spotting with some minor pitting near the muzzle. The frame has an untouched aged brass patina. The grips are very good with some high edge wear, patches of the period varnish remaining, and some very scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
