This is an example of a World War II Remington Model 1903-A4 Sniper Rifle with Weaver M73B1 Telescopic Sight. The rifle has a front sight correctly removed and the barrel is marked "R.A. / ordnance bomb / 7-43" and the front receiver ring is marked "U.S. / REMINGTON / MODEL 03-A3" on the left side and the serial number on the right side. The bolt handle is marked "R" and the right rear of the bolt assembly is marked "BP". The receiver is fitted with a parkerized Redfield scope sight base. The scope is blue, comes with rubber "Bikini Cover" lens cover and the plate is marked ""TELESCOPE M73B1 / PATD - PATS. PEND. / W.R. WEAVER CO. / EL PASO, TEX. U.S.A.". The rifle is mounted with a WWII production walnut pistol grip, "C" stock and hand guard, with checkered steel buttplate with compartment, (cleaning kit not included). The left side of the stock is stamped with an "RA", boxed "RA / JPL and boxed "FJA", with a circled "P" in the grip area and various Remington proof marks ahead of the floor plate.

Very fine as Arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains 90% plus of the original thinning parkerized finish. The trigger guard is reparkerized as well as the bands. The stock is very good with a filled repair on the left side just ahead of the receiver and overall some minor scratches, dings and dents. The scope is very fine with 90% original blue finish showing some wear, minor scratches and some minor spotting. The optics are clear. The cartouches and markings are clear. The action is excellent.
