Introduced in 1948. Single nickel bead sight on the vent rib, with the patent information on the right side of the barrel and the gauge, 2 3/4 inch chamber and bore markings on the reverse. The choke was originally marked "MOD", overstamped to "IMP CYL" and measures cylinder. Standard markings on the receiver and fitted with a fancy walnut stock, with fine checkering on the beavertail forearm and pistol grip, duck design on the grip cap, 14 inch length of pull and a serrated Remington buttplate.

Near new, with only a tiny patch of very light spotting on the barrel near the patent markings. Wood grain is excellent, with sharp checkering, overall showing a character typically reserved for a higher grade arm. An excellent piece from the James Tipton Collection.
