Four gallon hand turned salt glaze stoneware jar with Albany slip interior with lug handles applied to either side. Cobalt blue advertising block stamp "A. Cohen/Dealer in China/Glass & Crockery/673 Fulton St. &/207 Court St/Brooklyn" The blue bird sitting on foliage design is commonly found on Cohen stoneware pieces. The bird is slightly blurred due to the beautifully heavy gloss of the salt glaze. H 14 1/2" W 11"
