Description:

Early stoneware Albany glaze pig flask attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick of Anna, IL, Circa 1880. The molded bottle has, incised eyes and hooves, and unusual hand molded face with painted accents. On the side of the body is incised: " Good Old Bourbon/In A Hogs -" pointing to the rear of the pig. L 3 1/2", W 7", D 2 3/4. Most of the Anna's pig flasks are boars with very few having been made as sows.

Rating Definition:

The pig flask is in very fine condition, there is a hairline crack on the left side, a chip at the base of the left ear and near the spout at the rear of the pig.
