Large Albany slip glaze inkwell base made by Anna Pottery, Anna, Illinois. The base is incised with "J.S.R. Wedding/Attorney at Law/ 1896/ Attorney at Law Hartport, KY". The piece is bottom marked "Anna Pottery/Anna, Ills". The base has a nice weight to it, and shows the golden Koalin clay used to make Anna Pottery. There are a few large chips in the spout of the inkwell base and a large chip in the base that is only slightly visible from the top. Height is 2 3/4" by 7 inches wide.

Numerous chips on piece of varying sizes, but do not affect the writing which is very good. Missing lid.
