Description:

This rocket propelled line thrower was invented by William Schermuly and built circa 1920s. The left side of the brass frame is marked "SCHERMULY'S / PAT. No 503324" with "S4" stamped over the patent number and the right side of the frame has the double stamped serial number. British proofs are stamped on the left side of the barrel and frame. Fitted with two-piece grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The iron barrel has a mottled brown patina. The brass has an untouched dark aged patina. The grips are fine with a large dent on the left panel and some chipping near the bottom on the right panel, along with a few minor dings and scratches.
