Description:

The right side of the receiver is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER / OBERNDORF A NECKAR" and the top of the chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N.". The Mauser "crown / U" definitive proofmark is located on the left side of the barrel extension below the serial number and on top left side of the bolt, with the rear of the hammer having the new safety ("NS") marking, a crown/gothic letter proof on the right side of the receiver, and the bottom of the barrel is marked with an "M" over a six point star, a "crown/X" proof, a partial "S" the number "3" and two "2"s. Complete and partial serial numbers all match. The rear sight is graduated from 50-500 meters. The trigger, safety, rear sight elevation bar and extractor are niter blue finish and the pistol is fitted with grooved grips with crude red filled "9" on each panel. Complete with a wooden stock/holster number "509" on the attaching iron and reproduction leather harness with a cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 70% original thin blue finish with some areas of smooth gray patina on the barrel, high edge wear and a smooth brown patina on the grip straps. Most of the bright niter blue finish remains on the small parts with some minor spotting on the extractor and sight bar. Mechanically functions, but bolt recoil springs are weak and do not retract quickly. The once cleaned stock is very good with a few overall scattered minor dings and handling marks. The reproduction harness is very good with some water stains on the back and overall a few minor scuffs and tight stitching.
