Manufactured circa 1948. Single steel bead sight on the matte solid rib. The left side barrel is marked "WINCHESTER - 12 GAUGE / 2 3/4 CHAM.", the bottom of the left barrel is marked "MOD." and the right "IMP. CYL.", Winchester proof steel marked and each flat is marked with the Winchester oval proof. The water table is marked with the three line "MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21 / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN.". Single trigger with selector, tang mounted automatic safety, ejectors and mounted with a checkered beaver tail walnut forearm and flat bottom pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Complete with two snap caps. LOP is 14".

Very fine. The barrels retain 90% original blue finish with some thinning near the muzzle and at the breech end, with smooth gray on the breech end edges. There are a few minor dings on the rib near the breech and a few minor scratches in the same area. The receiver retains 60% plus original blue finish, showing areas of smooth gray on the high edges and bottom and the trigger guard plate has a smooth gray patina with thin original blue finish in the protected area around the trigger guard. The lower tang has a smooth gray patina and the trigger guard is thinning and has bright edge wear. The wood is very good with some overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches, with crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent.
