Manufactured circa 1952 and subsequently custom engraved by Master engraver Mike Gouse (according to consignor notes). The pistol features floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the flat sides and rear half top and bottom of the barrel, sides and top of the frame, and sides on the slide with a 1 1/2 inch wedge on the front top of the slide. The left side barrel marking is in a panel and the remaining markings are in banners. Pinned interchangeable Patridge front ramp sight, adjustable rear sight, serrated trigger and grip straps. Lanyard slot on the heel, Colt marked magazine and fitted with replacement stag grips.

Professionally refinished and embellished with 95% blue and matte finish remaining, beginning to thin on the grip straps. The grips are excellent. The markings and engraving remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
