NB - EXCELLENT- near new condition 95% - 98%, used but little, no noticeable marring of wood or metal, bluing near perfect (some wear at muzzle or sharp edges can be expected).

Manufactured in 1934. The increasing popularity of the Woodsman brought out the "Sport" in 1933 with a shortened barrel. This pistol has the standard two line address and patent marking on the left side of the barrel. "THE WOODSMAN" is on the left side of the frame and "COLT/AUTOMATIC/CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide. Fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight, checkered grips and two tone magazine marked "COLT WOODSMAN/CAL 22 lr" on the bottom. Complete with a H.H. Heiser brown leather tooled flap style holster.

Excellent with 99% plus of the original blue finish remaining. Extremely light high edge wear, possibly from the holster. The grips are as new. The holster is very good with little wear evident, some flex cracking on the flap. The stitching is tight and the snap is solid. An exceptional very early Woodsman, with the original small green hanging tag.
