The Pre-Woodsman Model was manufactured from 1915 to 1927 and prior to the "Woodsman" name. This particular pistol was manufactured in 1922 and features the very distinctive "pencil thin" barrel found on this model up until approximately serial number 31,000. The left side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt and the top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1903 and two 1918 patent dates. The front sight is elevation adjustable and the rear sight is adjustable for windage. The pistol has the correct checkered oval on the mainspring housing which is characteristic of the Pre-Woodsman models. The pistol is fitted with checkered walnut grips and has a two tone 10 round magazine marked " COLT WOODSMAN / CAL. 22 LR" on the bottom. With extra two tone "CAL. 22 / COLT" marked magazine.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% original blue finish with some thinning and wear on the muzzle, some edge wear and a few minor overall scratches and handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dings and bruises, some wear on the lower right panel and overall crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured in 1975. Blade and dovetail notch sights, with the Hartford address on the barrel, Rampant Colt over "HUNTSMAN" on left frame side, and caliber marking on left side of slide. Fitted with a smooth trigger and checkered grips.

excellent. The pistol retains 98% original blue finish with some muzzle wear. There are some minor scuffs and wear on top of the slide. The grips are very good. With the exception of some wear on the top and bottom of the left panel, there are only light handling marks and crisp checkering. Clear and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent.
