Description:

Manufactured in 1913, this pistol is one of 550 shipped to the Benicia Arsenal, Benicia, California on February 27, 1913. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block 1897-1911 patent dates and address, with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, the left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" , and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" is marked on the right side of the slide. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the left side is marked with the circle "WGP" inspection mark of Major Walter G. Penfield. The barrel chamber is unmarked and the rear of the slide is marked with the letter "H" above the firing pin. Fixed sights, lanyard ring on the heel, unmarked two tone magazine with lanyard loop on the bottom and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond around the screws.

Rating Definition:

Professionally restored to near mint condition. The grips are excellent plus with only a couple of barely noticeable dings and sharp checkering. The magazine has also been restored and remains very good. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
