Description:

Manufactured in 1924, after WWI Mexico procured an unknown number of Model 1911 pistols made by Colt. These Model 1911 pistols are rare because of Mexico's strict penalties for illegal possession of military arms, which was on the spot execution. Very few made it back to the U.S. The left side of the slide is marked with the three line address/1897-1913 patent dates and "CAL. 45 AUTOMATIC" followed by the Rampant Colt. And the right side is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45 Rampant Colt / EJERCITO MEXICANO". The right side of the frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL / C135932". The upper left front of the trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle "VP" proof and the assembly number "22" on the opposite. Standard low profile fixed sights, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, thumb safety, slide stop and magazine release, lanyard heel on the frame, unmarked two tone magazine and fitted with checkered walnut grips with diamond pattern around the screws.

Rating Definition:

Professionally restored to near mint condition. The grips are as new. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. The magazine has also been restored and remains very good. Mechanically excellent.
