Blade front and 2-leaf rear sights, with a "2-43" dated Underwood barrel, Type I barrel band, flat top bolt, milled trigger guard, button safety and "MN" marked magazine catch. High wood stock, with 2-rivet hand guard, "I" oiler cutout, tan canvas sling and checkered buttplate.

Very fine, with 95% of the original parkerized finish, darker on the barrel with mild spotting and handling marks. Stock is fine, with areas of sanding on each side, a small hairline crack behind the trigger guard, and scattered dents. Sling is frayed. Mechanically excellent. A fine example of an early contract production National Postal Meter M1 Carbine.
