Fair with a smooth brown patina on the barrel and magazine, with a couple of small patches of minor pitting on the magazine and several small dings on the receiver. The receiver retains 30% thin original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The wood is fair with the above noted carvings on the left side of the stock and overall a number of minor gouges, dents, dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is good. The bayonet is very fine without a scabbard.
