Manufactured from 1877 and 1891. The top of the barrel rib is marked with the two line address/patent dates and the serial number is marked on the butt, barrel, barrel latch and rear face of the cylinder. Pinned blade front sight and notch rear sight. All nickel finish with casehardened hammer, blue trigger, barrel latch and hinge spring. Fitted with black checkered hard rubber grips with "S & W" in an oval at the tops.

Very fine. The revolver retains 97% original nickel finish with some muzzle wear and minor flaking high edges. The grip straps have frosted and there are a few minor dings overall. The grips are good with moderate wear, "X/" carved in the bottom of the left panel and prevalent checkering. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
