Manufactured in 1887. German silver front and adjustable sporting rear sights on a barrel marked with the two line Hartford address/Elliot's patent dates ahead of the rear sight and "44 Cal" at the breech. British proofs are present on the left side of the barrel along with "410" for the bore size, with an additional Crown/V proof on the left side of the receiver. The receiver is marked with the Rampant Colt motif on the left side. Checkered forearm and plain straight grip stock with the standard crescent steel buttplate.

Very fine. The barrel and magazine retain 90% original blue finish thinning to a brown. The receiver retains 60% bright original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The buttplate has a smooth gray patina. The wood is excellent with some minor handling marks and some minor blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
