Single brass bead on the matte concave solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked improved cylinder/modified, with ejectors. Blue barrels with standard markings, floral scroll engraved coin box lock action, with "MERKEL" marked on the bottom. The engraving pattern extends to the trigger guard, break lever and forearm hardware. Double triggers, tang mounted safety and mounted with a nicely figured, multi-point checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a black plastic Merkel buttplate. Complete with the original box numbered to the gun. Length of pull is 14 3/8 inches. This shotgun is consecutively serial numbered to two other Model 280s in this auction. This gun still has the full factory warranty.
