Description:

Dovetailed blade front and notch rear sights, with "F Smith" on the barrel rib, fish head engraving on the shotgun hammers and an animal head design on the rifle underhammer, with checkered "ears". The lock plates are both marked "Smith". Checkered straight wrist stock with rifle and shotgun cleaning rods on either side of the rifle barrel, pewter tip, and a curved, border engraved buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus, showing a mixed brown patina overall, darker on the barrels with a small amount of pitting. Stock is good, with cracking on the forearm, varnish loss and dents. Mechanically fine.
