Manufactured in 1928. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1903 and 1918 patent dates, the left side of the frame is marked "THE WOODSMAN" and the left side of the slide is marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CAL..22 LONG RIFLE" followed by the Rampant Colt. The serial number is marked on the front strap and the left upper front of the trigger guard is marked with the number "1" over the Colt "VP" triangle proofmark. Special order Patridge front and windage adjustable rear sights, smooth trigger, two tone Colt marked magazine, oval checkered panel on the back strap and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Complete with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun with blue "PATRIDGE SIGHTS" lid end label over a white "TARGET" label, original test target, manual, "special instructions" and "shooting suggestions" pamphlets, hanging tag, cleaning brush in original paper sleeve and rear sight screwdriver.

Near new in box. The pistol retains 99% plus original blue finish with some extremely minor muzzle wear and a small amount of minor spotting on the upper portion of the back strap and adjacent part of the frame. The grips are also excellent with some mild wear to the otherwise sharp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. The box is very fine.
