Description:

This Whizzer is a rich maroon in color with white striping and gold lettering on the tank. A decal of a 1950s pin-up girl is attached to the front fender. Included is the original 1950 title from the State of Missouri showing the unit to be a 1948 model, and the original Whizzer Bike Motor Installation and Operating Manual. According to the consignor notes (included), everything is in working order. The unit has been disassembled and cleaned and then reassembled with the original parts, only the front tire and a few bolts were replaced. The frame is marked Schwinn, a springer type front fork, a tan Mesinger marked spring type seat with a chrome grab bar and a bicycle type side and rear wheel lift parking stands. Unique to this unit is an automatic clutch assembly and a BiLite Model generator, which according to the consignor notes was marketed by Whizzer, that powers the headlight and taillight, is manually engaged and runs off of the flywheel by friction. The chain guard is missing. With a Schwinn front drum and rear Bendix coaster brakes, the engine, serial number J235497, has a Carter carburetor and a chrome exhaust pipe,

Rating Definition:

Very fine, totally original, a true survivor. Some usage marks and faded paint and decals typical to the age of the vehicle is present. A newer tire on the front wheel.
