Introduced in 1948 with Carter carburetor, twist throttle and compression control instead of the lawn mower type lever controls and a new dual spring telescopic front fork. The motor has a serial number of J244281. According to the consignor notes(included), this unit was restored in the early 1990s and painted a dark maroon with cream embellishments, lettering and striping. Included in this restoration is a chrome exhaust pipe and primary drive belt cover, 24 inch by 2.125 Schwinn Typhoon Cord front and rear white wall tires, a black Whizzer spring type seat with a chrome luggage carrier and chrome chain guard. The rear wheel has a Schwinn coaster internal type brake and no front brake, and a side mount bicycle type kick stand complements the rear wheel lift stand.

Excellent as restored with only minor handling and storage marks. The tire sidewalls are beginning to show some age cracking but should not affect the ride at this point.
