Description:

Blade and hammer notch sights, with the left side of frame marked "STARR ARMS Co. NEW. YORK." and the right "STARR'S PATENT JAN. 10. 1856.". Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, cylinder and hammer, with single letter inspection proofs on several parts. Smooth one piece grips, with a "CPL" cartouche on either side at the bottom, and "JPD" on the top right side.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 90% of the bright original blue finish, showing wear on the edges and scattered spotting and handling marks overall. The barrel shows numerous scratches, along with some on the cylinder. Bright colors are visible on the hammer. Grips are also very fine, with scattered light storage dings. Mechanically excellent.
