Produced from 1863 to 1875. "PATENTED SEP. 14, 1858 / E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A. / NEW MODEL" stamped on the top barrel flat. The barrel is numbered to the gun. Complete with a leather holster.

Good. The revolver has a smooth brown-gray patina with the barrel retaining some areas of original blue finish. The trigger screw is a crude replacement with scratches on left side of frame. The grips are revarnished with a series of minor pressure dents on the bottoms, an "X" carved on the left panel, and some minor handling marks. The holster is fair with two minor holes on the flap, moderate age cracking with flaking and a missing closure strap. Mechanically functions, but cylinder is loose due to undersized, crude replacement cylinder pin.
