Manufactured in 1854 at the Colt London Armory. The top barrel flat is marked "ADDRESS. COL: COLT / LONDON" inside brackets. Pair of British proofs on the barrel lug, with the proofs alternating between the cylinder chambers. Cylinder has the stagecoach hold-up scene and the frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, iron grip straps, cylinder, wedge, and loading lever. Fitted with a one-piece varnished grip. Comes with a blue velvet lined partitioned case with Colt bullet mold, Eley Colt percussion cap tin, key and James Dixon & Sons powder flask.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. Overall the revolver has a mottled gray patina with the barrel retaining 20% original blue finish and the frame and loading lever retaining traces of original case colors in the protected areas. There are a few patches of minor pitting. The grip is fine with most of the varnish and some minor handling marks. Action functions, but needs work as the cylinder is out of time. The case is fine with minor handling marks and some minor wear in the lining. The bullet mold has been polished bright and the powder flask has a few dents.
