Made in 1883. Fixed sights, with the one line block letter address on top of the barrel, etched "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" panel on the left side, three line patent dates on the left side of the frame and "44.C.F." on the trigger guard. Matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and grip straps. Smooth one-piece grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 30% of the original blue finish, strongest in the protected areas and on the upper right side of the barrel, and a mixed brown and gray patina overall with dents and scratches, edge wear and mild spotting. A few traces of the original case colors remain in the low areas on the frame, the remainder fading to brown or worn gray. Grip is also fine, with half of the original varnish, some loss on right side and scattered dings with wear on the bottom right. Mechanically excellent.
