Description:

The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, 30 inch part octagon number 2 barrel, and plain trigger. The rifle was received in the warehouse on January 9, 1892 and shipped on the same day. The barrel has the two line address marking ahead of the rear sight and "32-40" at the breech. Combination beach front sight, adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and Marble peep sight. Smooth forearm with ebony insert and smooth straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 90% original blue finish thinning to a brown with a series of dings on the left side near the mid-point. The remaining metal surfaces retain 75% original case colors. The wood is fine with a long hairline crack on the forearm and some minor scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
