The casehardened action is stamped with the two Marlin address/Ballard patent date marking and is fitted with a replacement short range tang sight. Mounted with a checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and nickel plated steel Swiss buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel and lever have a smooth mottled brown patina with a few minor scratches on the barrel. The receiver has a smooth mottled gray patina. The buttplate retains 50% original nickel finish with a smooth dark brown patina on the balance. The wood is good with a moderate shallow chip on the upper left rear of the forearm, some checkering worn smooth on the forearm and overall a few minor dings and dents. The checkering on the wrist is crisp. Mechanically functions fine but lever retention spring is a little weak and does not hold the lever up all the time.
