Description:

Manufactured between 1896 and 1916. The barrel has the standard two line address and patent date on the upper flat at the breech and the left upper flat is marked "25. R.F.". The serial number is marked on the lower tang and "45" is marked on the front of the receiver. Globe front sight with a filler block in the rear dove tail and the tang sight has been removed. Blue barrel, with casehardened remaining parts and mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with Swiss buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 60% faded original blue finish with areas faded to a smooth brown patina. The receiver retains 75% original bright case colors with the balance faded to a smooth gray patina. The lever has a smooth gray patina and the buttplate has a smooth mottled silver gray patina. The wood is fine with overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is fine.
