Description:

Manufactured circa 1896 - 1933. Blade front and adjustable buck horn rear sights, with a number 2 barrel marked "25.20." on the left rear flat , with two line address and patent date on the top flat. The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang and bottom of the barrel ahead of the forearm, and "2" under the forearm. The upper tang is drilled and tap for sights, blue barrel, hammer and breechblock, with casehardened receiver, lever and buttplate. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original blue finish. The receiver retains 75% original vivid case colors and the buttplate retains 80% original vivid case colors with a smooth mottled silver gray patina on the balance. The wood is also very fine with most of the original varnish and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent.
