Manufactured in limited quantities for the Luftwaffe, (about 4,500), this Krieghoff, P.08 pistol features an "S-Code" date on the chamber, with the "H K / SUHL / 43" on the toggle, full serial number on the front frame and the left side of the barrel extension (with an "X" ahead of it), and the partial serial number, "43" on the takedown lever, side plate and rear toggle under the rear sight. The safety and extractor are marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. There is a droop eagle proofmark on the left side of the breechblock and on the right side of the barrel extension (faint). Blue finish with straw colored small parts, stock lug on the back strap, blue, unmarked magazine with aluminum bottom numbered to another gun and fitted with checkered walnut grips.

Good. The pistol retains 30% of the original blue finish with a smooth mottled gray patina and overall a few minor dings. The grips are fair showing heavy wear. Unless noted above, the markings are clear. The action is very good. A representative example of a scarce S Code Krieghoff Luftwaffe Luger P-08 pistol.
