Description:

Approximately 4,000 of these pistols were manufactured for commercial sales. The toggle is marked with the "DWM" logo. There is a "crown/N" proofmark on the left side of the barrel extension, breechblock and front toggle. Serial numbered in a commercial manner with number on the front of the frame, and partial serial number "69" on the takedown lever, side plate and rear toggle. The chamber is blank, the safety lower position is unmarked and bright. And the extractor is marked "GELADEN". All blue finish with straw colored small parts, grip safety, unmarked nickel magazine with wooden base marked with a faint mis-matched number and fitted with un-numbered checkered walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine as partially refinished (sideplate). The pistol retains 60% faded original blue finish with edge and high spot wear overall, mixed with thinning on the gripstraps, mixed with an old touch-up cold blue on the side plate, side rails and sides of the muzzle area. The grip straps, grip safety and trigger guard also show minor oxidation overall, with traces of original straw colors on the various small parts. The grips are good with some high point wear across the checkering, with a noticable dent area on the right panel. Mechanically excellent.
