Description:

The top of the receiver is dated 1917 and the toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof, and the left side has the four digit serial number that matches the frame. The bottom of the barrel has the correct four digit serial number along with the letter suffix and the bore diameter of 8,83 and the right rear is marked with the Imperial Eagle. Most of the small components have the partial serial number "68" marked on them. The front of the frame is marked with the serial number and it is correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. The tangent rear sight is graduated from 100-800 meters. The magazine is a correct nickel plated WWI version with a wooden base plate, numbered to another gun, (9560a). Complete with an earlier pattern brown leather holster marked "G.J. Ensink & Co./OHRDRUF" on the back, with cleaning rod and takedown tool.

Rating Definition:

Refinished with 90% blue finish remaining and thinning on the grip straps, edges and high spots. There is some minor pitting on the right side of the frame. The grips are good. The left panel has had a coat of varnish applied and overall they show moderate wear, with a few minor dings. The markings are readable. The action is fine. The holster is very good with some light flex cracking on the flap and tight stitching.
