The receiver side wall has the commercial markings of "MAUSER -WERKE A.G.OBERNDORF A.N." and the left rear of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number. Correct pre-War stock, with the finger grooves on the sides, flat metal buttplate, and the left rear buttstock marked "D.R.P. / 502444". It has all the correct early milled components, with matching numbers on most parts. With a tan leather sling and an early unmarked commercial style 98K bayonet with bright blade, smooth wooden handle and metal scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 85% plus original blue finish with some thinning on the receiver, areas of plum patina, and scattered spotting and handling marks. Stock is very good, with a few small gouges on the left side at the receiver, a crack in the handguard and minor dings and scratches overall. The accessories are very good, with mild handling marks and dings. The action is excellent.
