The left rear of the barrels is marked with the three line address , "2116EL 16 Ga" on the upper right side. Polished coin finish on the action, with blue on the remaining parts. The right side of the action is engraved with two rabbits in a wooded scene and a wooded scene of a hawk attacking a pheasant. The balance of the action, trigger guard, break lever and forearm knuckle are engraved with floral scroll engraving, with the Merkel logo on the bottom of the action and decorative simple line engraving on the forearm release hardware. The left side of the action is signed "EH". Greener cross bolt, adjustable single trigger with barrel selector mounted behind the trigger, tang mounted safety and mounted with Luxus Grade walnut multi point checkered forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a black plastic Merkel buttplate.
