This in an excellent example of a Winchester Model 42 with a desirable solid rib barrel. Standard markings including the oval factory proofs on barrel and breech. Single bead front sight on a matte vent rib, choke marked full, 3 inch chamber, flat bottom 14 groove forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches.

Excellent with 97% of the original blue finish. Slight finish loss on the working parts and high edges. Magazine tube has started to fade to a nice dark plum patina. Stock is very fine with minor handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
