Description:

Extremely rare "one-of-a-kind" lot consists of 105 original ribbons commemorating the launch of various U.S. Navy submarines from the Portsmouth Naval Yard. They are all sewn together and mounted in 7 rows of 15 on a blue backing. The dates on the ribbons are from 1917 through the 1920s-1930s and through WWII. All a silk, of similar dimensions, and all but one bear a "REMEMBER/ PEARL HARBOR" legend. Included on the display are ribbons for lead ships and prototypes such as the O-1, S-3 and Barracuda, the mine layer/Marine Raider transport Argonaut, Pearl Harbor survivors Dolphin and Cachalot, Medal of Honor winner Captain John P. Cromwell's vessel Sculpin, Bikini Atoll nuclear test ships Searaven and Apogon, Nimitz flagship Grayling and President Bush's rescue vessel Finback.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with some minor wear overall, colors are bright and sharp. Super rare!
