Description:

Measuring 13 inches long and 3 inches wide, painted gray with white and brass details and red below the water line, along with brass wires in place of rope. In an unmarked, glass fronted hardwood display case. Built by the Electric Launch Company as part of their first series of 70' Patrol Torpedo Boats, PT-10 served briefly with the U.S. Navy before being transferred to the British in 1940, who redesignated it MTB (Motor Torpedo Boat) 259. MTB-259 was lost in 1942 during Operation Vigorous, a failed attempt to resupply the island of Malta, when the vessel foundered in rough seas.

Rating Definition:

Good. Some parts are detached or absent. Paint scuffed, but has very attractive patina.
