This Model 97 Riot Gun falls into the serial number range for WWII Winchester Model 97 military shotguns (E910000 to E960000). Standard Winchester Model 97 barrel markings with "2 3/4 CHAM / CYL" on the left side and an ordnance bomb and factory proof on top. An additional factory proof is present on top of the receiver. The left side of the receiver is marked "U.S." along with an ordnance bomb. Grooved forearm and plain pistol grip stock with an arsenal rebuild SAAF cartouche. The buttstock is fitted with a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Arsenal refurbished. The shotgun retains 90% plus of the original blue finish which is thinning to a brown with extensive slide wear. There are some deep long scratches on the barrel near the muzzle and some very scattered minor pitting. The wood is fine with some minor handling marks and repairs on the stock and buttplate at the toe. Mechanically excellent.
