Description:

WWI Signal Corps Private's wool service uniform. The left shoulder has a rectangular yellow wool patch that is embroidered with the image of an observation balloon and basket. The collar has a round bronze "US" and Signal Corps insignia. A red private's stripe and two overseas service chevrons are sewn on the left sleeve. The blouse has a size 38 tag in the collar. The blouse is complete with wool trousers, visor service cap with Army insignia, and three sets of wool puttees. This is a very rare WWI uniform.

Rating Definition:

The coat and trousers are very good, some sights of minor and scattered moth holes. The balloon patch is in good overall condition with some fraying to the silver. The hat is fair with moth damage, broken chinstrap and a button missing.
