Description:

Produced in 1918. Fixed sights, with the two line, two block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, Rampant Colt behind the serrations and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on the right. "JMG" inspected frame, with the front left side milled down, long trigger, wide hammer, short grip safety and flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Checkered walnut grips. With a pair of dog tags made out to a 1st Lieutenant Charles Avery, 816th Infantry, and an unmarked 1st Lt. bar pin.

Rating Definition:

Fine as partially refinished, (left forward frame where the United States property marking was aggressively removed) showing 95% original blue on the balance with mild wear on the bushing, areas of brown patina on the slide and frame, light high edge wear, and scattered handling marks. Grips are excellent, with light pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
