Barrel: 18 inch round
Finish: parkerized

Description:

Barrel marked "ROCK-OLA" over a single "P" proof, "SG" marked recoil plate, standard Irwin-Pedersen receiver markings. Has the type 1 bayonet lug with sling swivel marked "KV-SG", push button safety marked "IP-W", flip up peep sight marked "B.IP", and blue magazine marked "K.I." Stock has "SG" and ordnance cartouche on the right side, the letter "U" on the left side, and "RSG / 04" on the sling cut-out. Irwin-Pederson produced approximately 150,000 M1 carbines before the Ordnance Department canceled their contract, making the Irwin-Pederson the most scarce of the M1 Carbines.

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished, with 99% of the parkerized GI type finish remaining. The wood is excellent with minor handling marks and a long gouge with a missing shallow chip on the right side. Although the carbine has all of the correct parts, it is our opinion that it is an assembled or parts carbine.
