Description:

Hooded blade front and "R" marked Buffington rear sights, with the rear of the barrel marked "A" on top and "V / P / eagle head / P" on the upper left. Low-arch breechblock, marked "US / MODEL / 1884", with the eagle/shield motif next to "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" on the lock plate. Smooth straight grip stock, with two "U" marked barrel bands, "36" on the triggerguard, "AK" marked tan canvas sling and a stamped on the comb and a "US" marked buttplate. With cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina and scattered handling marks and spotting on the front sight cover. 60% case colors are present on the breech block, showing mild fading on the edges. Stock is very fine, with some mild dents and scratches, and a few streaks of white residue on the left side of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
