Description:

Pinned blade front sight, rear sight graduated to 1800 yards, and standard receiver markings with the 1894 date. Stock has the cleaning rod channel plugged as part of the alteration, has a trapdoor butt, with traces of a cartouche on the left side, and a clear circled "P" behind trigger guard. Middle and forward band have much of the original blue and most likely are replacements.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The rifle is mostly a smooth gray patina overall. The refinished stock is good with some very scattered minor handling marks and a hairline crack near the receiver tang. Mechanically fine.
