Produced for trial in 1900, with the idea of having a bayonet which could double as a brush knife. 9 inch clip point blade, with "US" on the right ricasso, "1900" on the left and a 2 1/2 inch section of sharpened spine near the guard. Smooth wood grips, with polished steel crossguard and pommel. With a metal sheath, fitted with a 90 degree swiveling belt loop, and a ball tip.

Fine with some dark spots and edge sharpening marks on the blade, and a mixed patina on the guard and hilt. Wood is also fine, with minimal pressure dents. Sheath is fine, with 60% original blue, some areas of pitting, and scattered scratches.
