Description:

Developed to serve double-duty as a combat bayonet and entrenching tool. 10 inch long and 3 3/8 inch wide blade, with a reinforced spine. Knurled grip section, with "PAT. APR. 16-17" on the right side and a swiveling collar at the base. Slotted into the grip is a wooden pommel, designed to give better leverage when digging. Black leather sheath, with a brass tip and "US" badge on the belt hanger.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with spotting and polishing marks on the fine blade, and 80% of the blue finish on the grip, showing areas of brown patina. Sheath is fair, with cracking and loss of the leather, and rust on the exposed metal. Pommel is good, with some light chips.
